Mindset & Motivation

I serve as both a coach and accountability partner, helping clients develop the mental resilience needed for long-term fitness success.  Through regular check-ins and personalized goal-setting sessions, I help clients identify their best internal motivators to avoid falling into negative mental barriers.   Motivation naturally fluctuates, so I teach clients how to build sustainable habits to navigate the highs and lows of their fitness journey.  Together we will celebrate small wins and accept setbacks as learning opportunities!

💥Glute bias vs hamstring bias RDL💥

⚡️ SIMILARITIES:

•Both are compounds that will work glutes and hams
•Both are hinges that start from the top--> down (as opposed to deadlifts starting from floor--> up)
•Both are too be initiated with the HIPS
•Both take a tremendous amount of skill and practice!!!

⚡️DIFFERENCES:

The primary difference is *KNEE FLEXION* that allows an increased LOAD on either the glutes or hams- however there's definitely technique and internal cues that need to be applied to the hip hinge itself

🔑 THE KEY- is having a greater stretch on the muscle you want to load the most.

❗️More stretch = more muscle fiber recruitment baby

•Hamstring bias- lessss knee bend will = a straighter leg and more stretch on hammies

•GLUTE bias- more knee bend to allow hips to drive back further and lower = MORE STRETCH/LOAD ON THAT BOOTY BABYYYY.

Nuance to this as mobility allows woop!

I got to lift with my 14 year old son yesterday- and you know my bicep vein had to come out and show him who's still boss since he's 9" taller than me now 😤😂

Hearing him say "DAMN" when I was doing curls definitely made 11 years of training all worth it haha 🥹

Gun is going into his freshman year of HS next week and mommy is his new trainer 😁🥲😈

Ladies. If you are not pushing your physical and MENTAL limits in the gym, you are missing out on your greatest mind/body/spirit POTENTIAL and self confidence

And sidenote: IDC if you're lateral raising 5lbs honey, you strut into that male dominated free weight section with your crown straight.
You have every right to be there. It's your choice to own that fact, or not 🫶

For the parents 💖❤️‍🩹...

No one prepares you for the deep grief you feel watching your children grow. And I say that with the deepest gratitude and appreciation for being able to do so....

With each new phase there is a version of your babies that you will never get back 🥺

I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact I have two high-schoolers this coming school year.

What I would give to rewind time just for a day. To be able to hold them again all night.

To me, having children has been the most profound experience of my lifetime- loving 2 people more than seems humanly possible.

All I ever wanted to be growing up- was a mother.

I know it sounds cliche, but a reminder for parents with little ones:

The days are long, they can be really hard, but the years pass so quickly and you WILL want them back

Cherish them.

Let them teach you
Put your phone down, and listen
Let them open your heart
Practice patience 
Give every hug you can
Dry every tear
Laugh with them more
Say you're sorry when you need to
Hold them extra long whenever they'll let you

And pray that when they're older they will turn in to your best friends...
